23 HDD DRILLING WORKS OF 14 KM IN ROTTERDAM REGION
Van Leeuwen Trenchless Technology has conducted 23 stretches of HDD drilling, averaging 700 metres for the MOK (Marconistraat – Ommoord – Krimpen aan den Ijssel) project.

Activities
An underground 150 kV cable connection has been installed within MOK, over a distance of approximately 22 km, of which 14 km was drilled.
Special Circumstances
This new connection reduces the risk of major power losses in the Rotterdam region, due to the existing high-voltage connections no longer meeting the required capacity and functionality. The new cable will also make it possible to distribute the transported current more effectively over the high-voltage network.
