Randstad 380 kV is working on an electricity network for the future. This new network will be created between Beverwijk (north of Amsterdam) to Wateringen (Rotterdam).
10 locations lengths varying from 200 m – 900 m
The drillings that VLTT carried out are part of the underground connection. In total 23 HDD’s are drilled at 10 locations, varying in lenght from 200 m to 900 m. The amount of sustainably generated energie is increasing. Randstad 380 kV creates ring structures in the 380 kV high-voltage network (as is done in several other regions in the Netherlands).
Such rings provide greater capacity and reliability. Read more about this project on the TENNET project website.
