900 M HDD DRILLING WORK IN DELFZIJL

This bore crossed under the Eemskanaal and was initially designed as two separate bores. These were subsequently combined to form one long 894 metre bore. The bore hole was Ø730 mm, containing 3xØ200 and 4xØ160 mm During the installation process, 2 extra pipelines were pulled through to halfway and to one quarter length of the full bore, in order to facilitate grouting afterwards, according to the Dutch Water Board requirements. The deepest point of the bore lies at 27.8 metres. We spent a total of nearly 4 weeks, from mobilisation to demobilisation.
